MyIPO is an intellectual property online portal for the Intellectual Property Corporation of Malaysia, and the site is available in English or Bahasa Malaysia. A site map of the portal lists the following features and resources available on the site:^[1]

• About MyIPO - Information on the organization (history, mission, organization, functions and services, members).
• Resources - IP legislation, policy, incentives, statistics, reports, examination manuals, bulletins, and resources for students.
• IP Awareness - Promotional materials on intellectual property (comics, videos, booklet, campaign diary).
• Intellectual Property Training Center - Training facilities and directions.
• News and Events - Speeches, press releases, news, and National IP Day media.
• FAQ - On patents, trademarks, industrial design, geographical indication (GI), and copyright.
• Client Charter - For patent, trademark, industrial design, and GI applications.
• Contact Us - Contact information and maps.
• Patents - General information, Patents Act, application procedures, forms and fees, manual and specification, physical requirement, Gazette Patents, client charter, statistics, patent agent listings, flowchart of patent examination process, online search and filing for a patent, and ASEAN Patent Examination Co-operation (ASPEC).
• PCT Patent - General information, FAQ, procedure (including flowchart), forms and requirements, and fees.

• Public/Private/Government - IP information, promotional materials, and resources (IP Online Search, EStatus, EGazette, Agent Correspondence System, Patent Agent Examination Result, EAduan) that appear to be geared towards certain demographics (public sector, private business, and government officials). Online resources listed under Public, Private, and Government sections are all the same.

IP Online Search

Users can search through the IP Online Search portal on MyIPO to locate records on the following types of intellectual property:

• Trademark
  • Simple Search - Search by keyword (combined by And/Or), Nice Classes, and Application number.
  • Complete Search - Search by keyword (combined by And/Or and wildcard option), maximum filing date, Nice Classes, Vienna Coding, upload image, legal status, and Application number.
  • Statistic Search - Search by Nice Classes and date ranges, agent name, or applicant name.
• Patent
  • General Search - Keyword search with Boolean operators (highlight keywords).
  • Advanced Search - Search through various fields combined by Boolean operators (highlight keywords).
  • Special Search - Select "fuzziness," stemming search, phonetic search, natural language search, and synonyms search (highlight keywords).
  • Basket - List of selected patents.
  • Report - "Top 10 of Keyword Search."
• Industrial Design
  • General Search - Keyword search with Boolean operators (highlight keywords).
  • Advanced Search - Search through various fields combined by Boolean operators (highlight keywords).
  • Special Search - Select "fuzziness," stemming search, phonetic search, natural language search, and synonyms search (highlight keywords).

According to the EPO, the IP Online Portal replaced the old PANTAS search and filing system in June 2011.^[2] Users can register for free on the portal to search for Malaysian IP or file IP applications.^[2] Search features appear to be accessible without registration. Full text of IP documents is not accessible, but legal status and bibliographic information is available on the site. Users can also view their search history under each section of the site (Trademark, Patent, Industrial Design, or Geographical Indications) through the "Usage History" tab.
