Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) and World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) coverage is available from the "WIPO/PCT Patents Fulltext" database. Compiled by Thomson Scientific with information from WIPO, the databse incoporates the full text of published applications dating back to 1978. According to Dialog, newly published applications are available within 5 to 7 days. While the majority of documents are English-language, some documents are in French, German, or Spanish. Languages relying on non-Latin characters are not included in the database.
