Images

Patent images are provided in the patent-specific search interfaces Derwent Patent Abstracts, which searches the Derwent World Patents Index file (file 351) and Global Patents interface (files 344, 347, 348, 349, 371, 652, 654). In the Derwent World Patents Index, electrical and engineering patents will have images dating back to 1988, and chemical structure drawings date back to 1992. Images for results from the Global Patents vary depending upon the individual database coverage. The JAPIO file includes front-page drawing images, the French Patents file includes patent drawings, and the U.S. Patents Fulltext will sometimes include a single representative image. Consult the Dialog Bluesheets for more information.
