The Command Line Interface

In 2004, a complete command line environment was introduced for MicroPatent PatSearch. The interface was said to be one of the most powerful tools ever to be introduced through an online interface. Unfortunately, according to MicroPatent, a lack of demand for this separate-subscription service meant that the company could not recoup its operating costs, and had to withdraw the command line interface as a product offering. A newer product introduced by Thomson Reuters, Thomson Innovation, does offer some command line functionality.
