Quicksearch

The Quicksearch form maintains a constant presence along the side of the PatentAnalysis.com interface, even if the user has navigated to the Advanced Search form or is viewing results. This Quicksearch function enables the user to enter one or more search terms into the query input field, select which databases to search using the checkboxes, and choose how to sort the results. Additionally, the user also may select between a standard keyword-based search or a SMILES chemical structure search using the radio button. The Quicksearch form is shown in the following screenshot.

The Quicksearch form is notable because it provides a function that is not available when using the Advanced Search form: the ability to perform a keyword search across multiple patenting authorities simultaneously. This is done simply by selecting the desired checkboxes for each authority to be searched and then clicking the ‘Quicksearch’ button to submit the search. The screenshot below depicts the results of a Quicksearch.
