Searchable Datafields
Records within all of the databases on PatentAnalysis.com, except the WO/PCT database, are searchable by IPC codes. In the case of INPADOC, the IPC data is divided into two separate fields, one for IPC versions 1-7, and a separate field for IPC version 8. None of the databases allow for searching by Japanese F-terms.
When searching either the European granted or the European application databases, the title, abstract, claims, and description fields are searchable in any of English, French, or German. Titles and abstracts may be searched in English, French, or German in the WO/PCT database as well. In the New Zealand database, users can search by New Zealand classification as well as IPC code. A comprehensive list of searchable data fields organized by database is below.

Editor's Note:Overall, this list of searchable data fields is very impressive. There are some fields here that are not often searchable in many other search systems. Fields such as Inventor Street and Inventor Zip Code are searchable within the U.S. Granted and U.S. Applications databases, for example. For European Applications, Title, Abstract, Claims, and Description fields can be searched separately in English, French, and German languages. In the New Zealand collection, legal status fields such Renewal Date, Objection Date, and Renewal Interest are searchable.
It should be noted, however, that some of these fields seem to not function as expected. For example, when searches were done within the "NZ Classification" field, the system returned records not with matching New Zealand Classification but with matching classification data in the "Current US Classification" field.
