Switzerland

QPAT obtains bibliographic data, drawings, and full text data for Switzerland’s patent documents from the EPO as part of the Global Patent Project. The text was created by OCR technology, and may contain some misinterpreted characters or incomplete text.

The CHFULL file contains full text records for Switzerland’s patent publications from 1894 to the present. Front page drawings are available for about 5% of the publications. One full text document is available per one patent family.

This collection is searchable by IPC, but is not searchable by ECLA classification.

These full text files do not contain updated IPC or ECLA classification data. They only contain the original IPC classification data published for the record at time of issue. Since IPC classifications are commonly revised and updated, searching by classification in these files will not be querying the most recently updated classification data. Only the bibliographic FamPat and PlusPat files contain updated classification data.

These records include titles in English/German, French, or Italian, abstracts in English, and description and claims are in German, French, or Italian.
