Company Strength

SureChem Inc. was incorporated in November 2007 and brought SureChem to market in early 2008. The company's goal was to further broaden and to include “biology and expand coverage into scientific literature and other research data sources and databases”.[1] SureChem was acquired by Macmillan Publishers Ltd (which owns Nature magazine) in late 2009. SureChem now works as its own business unit, but also helps with relevant Macmillan in-house operations.
Many in-demand features such as generic chemical nomenclature and Markush searching are being considered for future inclusion into the product. Expanded coverage including patent documents the United Kingdom, Germany, and INPADOC coverage is also planned for future inclusion.[2]
With this aggressive outlook, and sure financial footing thanks to the Macmillan acquisition, be on the lookout for SureChem to rapidly add features and improve their product in response to market demands and needs.
