Citation Coverage
For the purpose of this article, the term "citation" refers to a patent citation. To get more information on how we use the term citation, please see the citations article.
Backward citations are present for the United States granted patent collection (US). The US granted patents collection contains non-patent literature citations, but they are not linked to any outside search sources. Backward citations are present for the European Patent Office (EP) collections, but no non-patent citations are present. No citation data is present in the Patent Cooperation Treaty (WO/PCT) collection. No forward citations are available for any collection. Source or relevancy codes are not present for any citations. For more information on viewing patent citations, see the Viewing Patent Citations section.
Editor's Note:The lack of forward citations hurts the user's ability to find relevant prior art, since citation searching is a commonly used search tool. Searchable non-patent literature is a plus, as this is not always offered.
