Assignee Prediction

VantagePoint does not have an internal algorithm to determine an assignee using outside factors such as inventor names or legal status. Instead, the system uses a Fuzzy Matching file to look for variations in a company name, and to group those records under a common name. The user can also enter common company name variations into the Fuzzy Matching file. See the Automated Data Cleaning section for more information.
