Introduction
IPO Nigeria is the official website created by the Nigerian Commercial Law Department of the Trademarks, Patents, and Designs Registry of the Ministry of Trade and Investment, and the site includes services for searching and registering trademarks, patents, and designs. The site was launched June 6, 2011 and is only available in English. According to the blog afro-ip, services provided by the portal include:[1]
- Online search application
- Online registration of Trademarks, Patent and Design
- Online Payment for services
- Online Application for Certificates
Use
Users who access the site can choose from eight options accessible through a horizontal menu at the top of the page. Additional links for each section are displayed in a menu on the right side of each screen titled "Related Links."
The eight main sections of the site include:
- Home - View introductory information about the office and links to recent press releases.
- About IPO Nigeria - Read a statement stating the goals, objectives, vision, and mission of the office. Related links include:
