The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) introduced the WIPO Gold portal on June 1, 2010 to provide access to a broad array of information related to intellectual property. The portal leads to a number of major intellectual property data collections, including patents, trademarks, industrial designs, domain names, and the texts of international patent laws and treaties. The portal also links to pages which provide statistics about activity in these areas.
WIPO Gold is intended to be used as a starting point for diverse reference questions related to intellectual property. The developers aim to provide free universal access to all useful data collections held by WIPO.
